1-Sunflower oil, Camphor oil, Turpentine oil

Mix 1 tsp of Camphor oil and 1 tbsp Turpentine oil in a cup of Sunflower oil. Store this effective oil combination in a glass jar and massage the sprained area with it, on a daily basis. It provides immediate benefits in sprains.

2-Egg yolk, Red Ochre

Wash affected area with lukewarm water then make a paste of 2 egg yolks and 2 gram Red Ochre / Bale rubra (Geeru) make it slightly warm and apply to affected greased-up (with oil, ointment or vaseline) area and cover it with a coarse cotton piece. After that make warm a cotton pad and heat up the sprained area until paste dried.

3-Castor seeds, Black Sesame seeds, Sheep milk

Make a paste of 10 gram Castor seeds (Maghaz Arandi) kernels, 10 gram Black Sesame seeds (Till) and 30 gram Sheep milk and cook when it become dense spread it on a piece of cloth and wrap it around sprained greased-up (with oil, ointment or vaseline) area in lukewarm condition.

4-Mango Ginger, Myrrh, Common Tallow Lowrel

Make a fine powder each of 10 gram Mango Ginger (Amba Haldi), Common Tallow Lowrel.(Litsea chinesis) bark (Maidaa-lakdi, MaghaaseHindi) Myrrh (Mur Makki) adds sufficient water to make a paste. Heat to lukewarm and apply on the affected greased-up (with oil, ointment or vaseline) parts and cover it with a cotton pad. Keep it bandaged until the swelling subsides.

5-Castor leaves, Calotropis leaves, Arjuna bark

Make a fine powder of 10 gram Castor tree leaves, 10 gram Calotropis (Akh) tree leaves and 10 gram of Arjuna (Arjun) tree bark by adding water and heat. Spread a thick coat of paste on a piece of gauze or cotton cloth, and then apply over the affected greased-up (with oil, ointment or vaseline) area before sleep leave it on for overnight next morning rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this method until pain and swelling gone.

6-Sesame oil cake, Castor kernels

Grind finely 30 gram Sesame oil cake and 10 gram Castor seeds (Arandi) kernels and cook  when it become dense spread it on a piece of cloth and wrap it around sprain area in lukewarm condition. It would provide immense relief from the pain.

7-Pure Bee Wax, Sesame oil, Dried Ginger

Cook 10 gram pure Wax in 30 gram Sesame oil and 5 gram Dried Ginger powder after straining fill in a clean and dry glass bottle. Make it lukewarm then apply to sprain area and wrap around warm piece of cloth.

8-Coconut powder, Turmeric powder

Mix 30 gram very old dried Coconut powder and 10 gram Turmeric powder then fill this dry mixture in a small cotton pouch makes it warm and places it on spraining muscle. Alternatively make a paste by adding sufficient Mustard oil and apply on a muscle strain to relieve pain. Place the muslin cloth on the sprained area for at least two hours.

9-Mango Ginger, Walnut tree bark, Alum, Dried Ginger, Egg

Make a fine powder of 50 gram Mango Ginger (Amba Haldi), 50 gram Dried Ginger, 25 gram dried Walnut tree bark, 25 gram Alum powder. Beat an organic egg adds 1-2 tbs powder to Spread a thick coat of paste on a piece of gauze or cotton cloth, and then apply over the affected greased-up (with oil, ointment or vaseline) area before sleep leave it on for overnight next morning rinse it off with lukewarm water.

10-Poppy seeds rinds, Bastard Teak flowers

Boil 20 gram Poppy seeds rinds and 30 gram Bastard Teak / Parrot tree (Dhak) flowers in 300 ml water for 5-10 minutes. Firstly rinse off sprained area with this lukewarm infusion, after that pound both boiled and filtered ingredients to make a paste spread on a coarse cotton cloth and wrap around sprained area.

11-Parrot tree flowers, Slacked Lime, Turmeric, Honey tree leaves

Make a fine powder of 20 gram Bastard Teak / Parrot tree (Dhak) flowers, 1 gram slacked Lime (Choona), 2 gram Turmeric root and 20 gram Honey tree / Butter tree (Mahwa / Mahua) leaves. Make a paste by adding a little water in powder as required and make it warm and apply to sprained area and wrap it with a bandage or piece of cloth.

12-Black coffee, Olive oil, Egg yolk

Mix 1 tablespoon of Black coffee, Olive oil and an egg yolk. Wrap with cotton wool pads, bandage for 2 days. You can repeat after 2 days, but make sure to wash first.

13-Clove oil, Olive oil

Applying clove oil over the affected muscles will also relieve the pain and help in speedy recovery.  To make homemade clove oil Soak 10 gm Cloves in a cup of water overnight next day add 1 cup/250 ml Olive oil in it and simmer on a low flame until all water evaporated. Let it cool now filter and store in a glass bottle.  Make the clove oil lukewarm and then apply it over the paining muscles.

14-Garlic oil, Mustard oil, Almond oil

Applying garlic oil over the inflammatory muscles will give relief from the inflammation, as garlic has anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic oil is also an important remedy for treating arthritis and rheumatism. Steep eight cloves of fresh garlic in boiling mustard oil until the cloves blacken; cool, and rub on the pulled muscle twice a day. Alternatively, massage the sprained area/ankle with a mixture of almond oil and garlic oil. This will increase the blood circulation in the region.

15-Turmeric, Limestone powder, Rock salt

Turmeric powder is made into a paste and is mixed with equal amounts of limestone powder and rock salt now adds lukewarm water to make a thick paste. Apply it to the sprained muscles before going to bed. Wrap it with a bandage. Leave it on overnight. In the morning, remove the bandage. Do this for two or three days.

16-Garlic juice, Coconut oil

17-Drumstick Tree Leaves, Sesame oil

Grind Drumstick tree (Sohanjana) leaves as required and mix with sesame oil to make a paste. Heat to lukewarm and apply on the affected parts and put bandage over it.

18-Castor tree leaves

Boil Castor tree leaves in water as required and strain, when it is lukewarm pour on the affected parts. This can be used as fomentation for the affected muscle.

19-Lavender oil, Thyme oil

In a bowl of warm water, put a few drops of Lavender oil and Thyme oil. Soak the sprained area in this water.

20-Brinjal / Egg plant, Sesame oil

Fry and just make soft / sauté some Brinjal / Egg plant slices in Sesame oil and wrap it in a thin towel and place on the affected area.   It provides immediate benefits in sprains.

21-Lime leaves, Butter

Make a paste of Lime leaves and Butter and this is applied on the sprained muscles with very good results.

22-Five-leaved chaste tree leaves

Boil Five-leaved chaste tree (sanbhalo) leaves after wrapping them in a cotton cloth. Apply this to the sprained ankle. Repeat the process for relief.

23-Brown Mustard, Salt

For sprain soak the affected area for 15 minutes in hot water with 1 tablespoon of brown mustard seeds and 2 tablespoons of salt per gallon of water.

24-Mustard oil, Turmeric, Salt

Apply a paste made from mustard oil turmeric and salt to the damaged area and cover with a warm cloth.

25-Fresh Dill sprigs, Sesame oil

Boil 30 gm sprigs of fresh Dill (Soa Saag) in ½ litre Sesame (Til / Kunjad) oil and let it cool. Rub well and apply this ointment to the sore muscles.

26-Honey, Lime juice

Massage the affected area with equal parts of honey and lime juice. This will relax the muscle and relieve pain.

27-Turmeric, Cow’s milk

To get relief from intense pain drink 200 ml of warm cow’s milk with 3 gm pure turmeric powder added to it. Take this milk lukewarm. Turmeric is known to have antiseptic properties.

28-Figs, Dates, Almonds

Consume a lot of Clarified Unsalted Butter (ghee) with figs, dates and blanched almonds to build tissue and for energy in your body.

29-Ginger powder, Cinnamon, Licorice seed

Make a fine powder of 2 parts ginger powder, 2 parts ground cinnamon and 3 parts licorice seeds. Steep for 5-10 minutes a beverage made of 1 teaspoon of this herbal mixture. This can be taken up to 3 times a day when experiencing muscle pain to alleviate discomfort.

30-Cabbage outer leaves

Soak the outer leaves of cabbage in hot water and wrap the sprained area with these leaves and let them remain there for about 10 to 15 minutes. Mix 5 gram Surgical Spirit in 20 gram water and drench a big cotton ball or a pad made with cotton cloth in it and place it on sprain until pad become dry and repeat this method until pain and swelling gone.

32-Epsom Salt

Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate): Magnesium has both anti- inflammatory and anti- arthritic properties and it can be absorbed through the skin.   A hot bath of Epsom salts is a popular home remedy for treating sprains and strain. The heat of the bath can increase circulation and reduce the swelling and pain.
Fill a bathtub with water as hot as you can stand. Add 2 cups of Epsom salts. Bathe for thirty minutes, adding hot water as necessary to keep the temperature warm. After this wipe the muscles with towel and put bandage over it. Do this daily until pain gone.
