Many salons and day spas offer body-wrapping procedures. The technique involves special wraps, lotions and creams that are applied to the thighs, waist and hips. You might not be able to afford an expensive spa treatment to minimize the appearance of cellulite, but using body wrap to help eliminate cellulite is an easy at-home spa treatment anyone can do. Though there is no definitive treatment for cellulite, it is believed that exercising and massaging the skin can help reduce this problem. Following body cellulite homemade wrap recipes are great temporary cellulite cures. These natural homemade body wraps are extremely effective is getting that smooth-look of your skin back in a span of few weeks.
1-Coffee and Olive Oil Wrap
Ingredients
- ½ cup --- Ground Coffee (with caffeine)
- 1-2 tbs --- Olive oil
Directions
Combine well and heat the mixture in a microwave for about 20 seconds. Spread the mixture on the cellulite affected areas, and then wrap plastic wrap around it. After 20-30 minutes, remove the wrap and rinse the area with warm water. To make this remedy more effective, you may put moist seaweed strips and wrap with a cellophane sheet instead of the plastic wrap.
2-Lemon and Honey Wrap
Ingredients
- 5 tbs --- Honey
- 2 tbs --- Sea salt
- ½ --- Lemon
Directions
Use the whole lemon by squeezing the juice and grating the rind into a bowl, and then add the honey and the sea salt make sure it is well blended. Leave this mixture on the affected area for about 15-20 minutes and cover it with strips of an old towel. Make sure you exfoliate your skin before applying body wraps.
3-Coffee and Seaweed Wrap
Ingredients
- Sufficient quantity --- Warm Coffee grounds
- Sufficient quantity --- Moist Seaweed strips

Massage the coffee grounds into your thighs, buttocks, or other area where cellulite appears. Massaging the grounds into your skin not only helps minimize cellulite, but it is also a great exfoliant, sloughing off dead, dry skin cells. Wrap it with moist seaweed strips, followed by a plastic wrap. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes, and then remove the wrap. Gently massage the area while rinsing with warm water. Repeat one to two times per week for maximum results. Seaweed contains natural elements that improve skin's elasticity, and is said to actually absorb fat.
4-Herbal Cellulite Wrap
Ingredients
- 1 cup --- Corn oil
- ½ cup --- Grapefruit juice
- 2 tsp --- Dried Thyme
Directions
Massage the cellulite affected area with the well blended mixture of dried thyme, grapefruit juice, and corn oil and wrap it with plastic or cellophane. Rinse it off following 10-15 minutes. To make this remedy much more powerful, use a heating pad above the area for about 5 minutes.
5-Clay and Honey Wrap
Ingredients
- ½ cup --- Bentonite or Green clay
- ¼ cup --- Lime juice
- 3 tbs --- Hot water
- 1 tbs --- Organic Honey
Directions
Apply this mask on your skin, wrap a plastic wrap on it and clean it off soon after 20-thirty minutes. Make sure to rub the mixture into the affected area using circular motions. Green clay, honey, lime juice and hot water make a good cellulite wrap mix and is a wrap that can be used on a weekly basis.
6-Clay and Salt Wrap
Ingredients
- 1cup --- Salt depending on your preference (Dead Sea, Mineral, Epsom or Sea)
- 3 cups ---Clay depending on your preference (Bentonite or Green clay, Dead Sea clay, French Green clay)
- Sufficient quantity --- lukewarm water
Directions
You need a large bowl or bucket, towels or sheets and a plastic mat. Dissolve salt in lukewarm water and slowly add 3 cups of clay and stir well. Adjust the water if necessary to form a wet paste. Apply it to the skin and wrap with towels/sheets. Then, relax for 10 to 15 minutes.
7-Tea Cellulite Wrap
Ingredients
- 1 cup --- loose Green tea leaves
- 2 tbs --- Coconut oil or Olive oil or any White lotion
- 8 cups --- Distilled water
- ¼ cup --- Sea salt

Body wraps containing tea can be effective at reducing the appearance of cellulite. The caffeine from the tea will help fight cellulite, detoxifying and improving the skin's circulation.
To make a tea body wrap, boil 8 cups of distilled water in a pot, remove the water from the heat and add 1 cup of loose tea leaves. To avoid having to strain the water, it is helpful to tie the leaves in a muslin or organza bag before adding them to the pot. Let the tea steep until the temperature decreases enough for you to comfortably stick your hand into the pot. Simply add the salt and coconut oil together. You will not need much coconut oil! A little goes a long way! If using a white lotion, try using a touch more. Dip towels into the tea mixture and begin wrapping your body with them, starting from your ankles and going up to your neck. It is fine to use older towels or rags; you will need between 6 to10 towels.
8-Olive oil and Clay Wrap
Ingredients
- ¼ cup --- Olive oil
- ¼ cup --- Honey
- ¼ cup --- Bentonite or French Green clay
- ¼ cup --- Hot water
Directions
Simply mix all of the ingredients together and then spread it on the body cellulite area. You can leave it to set or again wrap it in towel strips. Leave it on your skin for about an hour.
9-Aloe Vera and Clay Wrap
Ingredients
- 6-7 tbs --- Bentonite Green clay or French Green clay
- 1tbsp --- Aloe Vera gel
- 5 drops --- Lavender oil
Directions
Mix thoroughly and rub the mixture over your cellulite affected area and cover with thin towels or a clean white sheet. And wash it off after 10 minutes.
10-The Herbal Wrap
Ingredients
- 1 large --- Onion juice
- 1-2 tbs --- Garlic juice
- 1 tsp --- Cumin seed powder
- ¼ tsp --- Dried Ginger powder
- 1 pinch --- Asafoetida
- ¼ tsp --- Carom seed powder
Directions
Mix the above ingredients together and gently knead this solution onto affected skin areas preferably with deep finger strokes. After the massage, you may wrap yourself in thick layers of clothing for the next half an hour to sweat out toxins.
