Chocolate Butterfly Cupcake Recipe
Ingredients
- 125 gm ---- Self raising flour
- 125 gm ---- Butter
- 125 gm ---- Sugar
- 2 ---- Eggs
- 2 tablespoons ---- Milk
- Hot chocolate powder (Malt easers/Aero preferred)
- Icing sugar
- Chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
- First put all of the sugar and butter in a bowl and WHISK the ingredients together. At first the butter will stick to the whisk but keep peeling it off and continue whisking; it will turn pale and fluffy.
- Add beaten eggs into the mixture and sieve half the flour into the bowl then mix.
- Add the rest of the flour and 2 tablespoons of milk
- Then add as much preferred hot chocolate powder and it should turn a light beige color. Add chocolate chips if you want some.
- Then bake for roughly 12 minutes. Leave them to cool.
- Add as much butter as you would like (75g is normally a good amount) then add as much icing sugar needed until it is fluffy.
- Then add some more hot chocolate powder as you would like and it will be a beige color again.
- Cut the tops off of the cakes and cut in half then put as much needed butter-cream into the cake then put the butterfly tops on.
