How To Treat Oily and Greasy Skin Naturally?
1. Apple, Lemon Juice
A mixture of apple and lemon juice is considered very effective in curing the problem of oily and greasy skin. Apply this mixture at least for 15 minutes and then wash your face with fresh water.The malic acid in apples helps exfoliate dead skin cells and absorbs excess oil from the skin’s surface. Lemons contain citric acid which acts as an astringent to soak up excess oil.
2. Egg White, Honey
Egg-white masks help a lot to firm the skin and soak up excess oil. Mix one teaspoon of honey with an egg white and stir well. Then add just enough flour to make a paste. Apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water.
3. Cucumber, Lime Juice
Mix 1/2 teaspoon cucumber juice and 1/2 teaspoon lime juice. Apply to skin at least for 15 minutes and then wash off with fresh water.
4. Orange Peel, Rose Water
Dry the orange peel and grind them into powder. Make a paste by mixing orange peel powder and rose water. Apply this on your clean face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Besides removing excess oil this mixture will also help to reduce any blackheads and blemishes on the skin
5. Oatmeal, Apple, Lemon, Egg White
Make a homemade facial mask by mixing 1 tablespoon oatmeal, 1 tablespoon mashed apple, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of slightly beaten egg white. Mix together in a paste. Apply to your face, and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse with fresh water.
6. Homemade Mud Mask
A home made face mud mask of Fuller’s Earth (multani mitti) and rose water works best for oily skin. Multani mitti absorbs all the excess oil from the skin while the rose water acts as a natural astringent. Take 2 tablespoons of Fuller's earth and add enough rose water to make a thick paste. Now apply this paste on your face for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with fresh water.
7. Aloe vera gel
Aloe vera gel helps a lot to absorb excess oil from your skin’s surface. To get natural aloe vera gel cut an aloe vera leaf in half and extract the fresh gel. Apply the gel on your face. Let it dry and then wash your face with clean water. For best results repeat this twice a day.
8. Ice Cubes
Take ice-cubes if you wish to remove excess oil from your face. All you have to do is rub these cubes for some time. Alternatively take some ice cold water and mix some lemon juice. Was your face with this mixture to get rid off excess oil.
9. Baking Soda
Baking soda not only helps to balance the PH levels of skin but also have a positive effect on oily skin. It also exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells so that oil production on the face is more regulated. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water and massage into your facial skin. You can leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. For best results repeat this twice a week.
10.Yogurt
Yogurt contains a good amount of lactic acid that helps gently exfoliate the skin and absorbs excess oil from the skin. Apply one tablespoon of plain yogurt on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water. Repeat this on daily basis and see the difference within few days.
