The oats, jaggery, nuts and sesame seeds all blend in nicely to make these lollipops crunchy and delicious. This oats lolly pop recipe is a super tasty snack that is absolutely healthy as well.
There is not even one junk ingredient in this oats lolly pop recipe. Walnuts, pistachios, cashews, almonds, oats and sesame seeds along with some ghee will give you these delicious oats lollipops. Just insert a tooth pick or lolly pop stick to make this a fancy treat for kids and toddlers. This is sure a healthy finger food that you can serve for your kids when they are back from school!
Oats Lolly pop For Kids
Ingredients
- 2 tsp ---- Clarified unsalted butter (Ghee)
- ½ cup (8 tbs) ---- Jaggery
- ¼ cup (4 tbs) ---- Rolled Oats
- ¼ cup (4 tbs) ---- Mixed Nuts
- 1 tbs --- Sesame seeds
- 12 ---- Lollipop Sticks
Preparation
- In a broad non-stick pan, heat 1 teaspoon of ghee, add the jaggery, stir constantly and cook over low flame until jaggery melts.
- Remove from flame, add roasted quick cooking rolled oats, lightly roasted and finely chopped (pistachios, cashew, almond, walnuts), roasted sesame seeds and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Grease your hands with the remaining 1 tsp of ghee and divide the mixture into 12 equal portions, shape it into a round ball and insert a small disposable stick in the centre.
- Cool completely and store in an air-tight container or Serve and enjoy!
